An extensive number of data sources are now available on the Internet providing information freely to anyone in need. The material I am referring to is known as, Open Data. Here I am sharing a list of five Open Data sources, that I hope you will find useful in your data science studies.

You can search thousands of datasets from financial market data to population growth and cryptocurrency prices.

The WHO manages and maintains a wide range of data collections related to global health.

You can find data, tools and resources to conduct research. Also develop web and mobile applications, design data visualizations and more.

A single point of access to open data from European countries. EU institutions, agencies and bodies. As well as other European countries.

A site dedicated to making high value health data more accessible to entrepreneurs, researchers and policy makers in the hopes of better health outcomes for all.

It’s possible to find a complete and detailed list of the Open Data available online in the book Python Data Analytics[1].
